Three Actions:
The most important thing that we can do if we want to move the world towards social justice is to pick an area where we want to make an impact and then take action on a regular basis. Here are three actions that Becca suggests we take as we engage in activism.
1) Remember that you are not responsible for all of the problem and all of the solution. You are responsible for the part of the problem and solution that you are able to handle. Find that thing you can do and do it.
2) Remember the impact and magnitude a quiet comment or observation can have. Putting out a compassionate message can deeply touch people we know and those we will never meet.
3) Have an accountability buddy, a friend, family member, or partner who will check in with you once a week to be sure you’ve taken whatever tangible action that you have committed to.
