Nicole Vick

Welcome to Season 3!
In this episode Public Health professional Nicole Vick and I talk about how public health disparities are showing up in sharp relief in a country trying to combat a pandemic. What these disparities tell us about what needs to change, the challenges that exist to that change, and how growing up in South Central LA has impacted her perspective on public health.

We also talk about Black maternal mortality and the biases in our medical systems. Nicole’s wisdom is badly needed right now. I’m so glad I got to talk with her.
